Create Hybrid application and deploying it into cloud

Hi ,

I am trying to convert my SAP UI5  project to hybrid application using Hybrid App Toolkit connector. Onpremise system connected to the cloud via HanaCloud Connector. App is running fine  as web application . But If I convert it as Mobile app, during service call getting error as HTTP Request Failed.

(Page 59 - Point 7 (Configuring Device Properties)),

    (Required) For the App Name and App ID properties, enter the exact same values as registered by the

    administrator on either the on-premise or cloud version of SAP Mobile Platform (SMP).

So is it required to use HCPMS or SMP to create hybrid application in cloud. Even If I am not using any kapsel plugins.
